Turn left and go about four miles to Osage City. Turn left on 4th Street to Hickory Road and continue until it dead-ends at the site parking lot. When to Visit/Species to Expect: Anytime, but spring and fall are best. Typical suite of nesting species expected in this habitat; good possibilities for viewing migrants following the river. Features of interest to birders: One-half mile trail goes uphill and along the bluff, giving some access to bottoms and good opportunity to seek typical oak-hickory dwelling species. Fine view of the Missouri River at the top.
